    Rishikesh is the nearest city to Chopta. It is recommended to arrive in Rishikesh a day before the trip to avoid any travel delays. After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Chopta via Devprayag and Rudraprayag while enjoying the beautiful Himalayan landscapes. At Rudraprayag, witness the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Continue through Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers unite to form the holy Ganga. Reach Chopta by evening, relax, acclimatize to the altitude, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the trek on the following day.

    Start your trek from Chopta to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. The 3.5 km uphill trail is well maintained and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Along the route, pass through beautiful alpine meadows (Bugyals), making the trek enjoyable and scenic. After seeking blessings at Tungnath Temple, continue towards Chandrashila Summit. The final 1.5 km climb to Chandrashila is steep but rewards trekkers with panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges, including:
    • Mt. Nanda Devi
    • Chaukhamba Massif
    • Gangotri Range
    • Mt. Trishul
    Spend some time at the summit before descending back to Chopta for an overnight stay.

    Kartik Swami Temple Altitude 8,335 ft
    After breakfast, drive approximately 75 km to Kanakchauri, the starting point for the Kartik Swami Temple trek. The temple is situated at an elevation of approximately 2,540 meters on Kronch Parvat. The trek is around 3 km one way. Kartik Swami Temple is dedicated to Lord Kartikeya (Lord Murugan), making it one of the most significant temples devoted to him in North India. After completing the trek, continue to Rudraprayag for an overnight stay. Spend the evening exploring the town and visiting the holy

    After breakfast, depart from Rudraprayag and drive back to Rishikesh while enjoying the scenic mountain roads. It is recommended to book your onward journey for the late evening to accommodate possible traffic or weather-related delays.

Yes, throughout the journey, you will have mobile signals available.
There are proper toilets in the Chopta region at the beginning of the trek, and once you reach the temple, you will find a washroom facility. A washroom facility is also available in Kartik Swami Temple.
You will find ATM at Ukhimath, Rudraprayag & Rishikesh. All trekkers are advised to withdraw cash at the first available ATM and not wait.
From December to February, you will witness thick snow on this trek. Make sure to carry appropriate clothes and gear. You also rent top-quality gear from us.
Charging your gadgets might be always challenging during the trek. In Chopta, electricity is a challenge. Hotels and Camps there use Solar or Inverters. Make sure to carry your power bank.
Pure vegetarian food will be served with dishes like Rice, Dal, Roti, Vegetables, Parantha etc. If you are a Jain or have any special food requests then do let us know. Note: Only vegetarian food will be served.
